11pm-6am!

Really? Did my son just go 7 hours straight without eating or crying out – simply sleeping? He did. How fabulous. We are so proud of him….with some new methods…lots of love….and getting a flexible routine in place….he is sleeping! Yay!

We took a recent photo shoot in our backyard and these are few highlights from our 80 degrees Sunday…..just click on them to see them bigger.

“The Unshow”

I wanted to let you all know that I was invited, with some other artists in the Toledo area, to have my art in “The Unshow” on Friday night, November 30th. It will be the opening night and I will have 3-4 new pieces for sale at the show. They did this show 5 years ago and it has made it’s way back.

More details to come…..

Pumpkins Schmumpkins

Ahhhh….Fall. I had visions of a sweet little guy, happy, laughing in his Fall clothes amongst pumpkins with his friend Sophie for a little photo shoot.

Hmmmm.

It was 90 degrees. He was in and out of a nap. We tried to dodge bees in our apple cider. Wasn’t looking too promising. Nope. Not at all. Happiness and Fall fun were not in sight.

The proof is in the pumpkin…

Handsome

Look at this guy! He is giving these sweet looks these days….little grins that turn into shy turns of his head….but then right back for more play a moment later. Gotta love him.

I don’t want to forget

how sweet and little everything on Robby is right now. This is Rob holding Robby’s finger. Sometimes I just take the time to look at every little detail of my son and soak him in for what seems like hours at a time. I don’t want to forget.

Sleepover…

So, sometimes you just need a break. But it’s always bittersweet. I love my little man and I love being with him all day – I really do. I don’t often tire of it. He’s such a joy. And when he’s out of the house without me it feels so strange.

But he is off today with his Grandma and Grandpa to spend the night and to give me a true BGSU Fall Break (students are enjoying their 4 day weekend right now). I am cleaning, writing, catching up and will head to my favorite coffeeshop to read outside today. Yay for Grandparents!

I thought I’d also post a typical morning picture of Robby. He usually wakes around 6:15am and Rob scoops him up and snuggles with him in our bed together. He munches on and off with me in bed until we are ready to get up – usually around 8:30. But sometimes he just keeps sleeping – even when mom has gotten up….

Big News!

Ok….I know I can be extreme…but I really thought Robby would never roll over from his belly to his back. He hates being on his tummy for over 6 minutes – wails his head off until you roll him over yourself. Not so interested in rolling.

Until today.

I put him on his tummy, once again, just because it’s good for him. Tough love at the Seiffert house. And a few minutes later as I am cleaning the tub, I just here this one big “Huh!” and he had pushed himself to the side…and a few seconds later….rolled on over to his back to face his favorite cow on his play mat! He looked surprised and then delighted. I started screaming with delight and I think I frightened him.

Called his dad.
Ran for the camera.
He did it!

We then took the next 15 minutes and rolled around on the floor a few more times. It’s so great. Great job, Robby. Sorry I didn’t believe in you. :)

Here’s the play by play….
