Wanna watch and listen?

Our ministry on campus is up and running! (we feel out of breath from it, too)

We just had our first meeting on Thursday which had a wonderful live band (different one each week), some funny advice from the crowd upper classmen to freshman…and then I gave a short talk kicking off the year. If you’d like to actually watch it – go HERE!

Doesn’t it feel like Summer up and left without saying goodbye? How rude. I’m a high-closure gal and I’d like a little more from Summer. A funny day this summer was when we found this little baby (days old!) bunny. Tricky:  trying to allow Robby to enjoy this little cutie but also protecting this little one’s very life from a big accidental squoosh from my son….eek. Don’t worry, I maintained the perfect balance and everyone is alive.

Art Update

I recently sold one of my favorite pieces I’ve made: Pink Dress. I wasn’t prepared to be sad, but I was. I really liked it and I had to mourn it’s leaving. But now it rests in a great home with a great owner who has loved it for a long time. So long, sweet thing:

I cannot seem to getaway from lovely ladies, fashion, fabric, curves….soft stuff. Speaking of Soft – I am sharing an artshow at Madhouse Gallery on Thursday night, September 10 from 6-8 titled that very thing: Soft. Go HERE for all the details. I am sharing the show with printmaker Michelle Carlson who does beautiful girly work, too.

Should be a night filled with frilly yummy desserts and decadent art. Please come! Our art will then hang for 2 months and is available for purchase. Here’s a sneak peak – Fall Fashion:

Summer time is ending

The BGSU Fall Semester has started! We kicked it off with our first Cru weekly Thursday night meeting with 250 plus students last night. To refresh you, I work with Cru on campus: a spiritual organization that is designed for the spiritual seeker or the religiously restless….no religious affiliation needed…but we do run our thoughts through a Christian worldview as we look at life. I had the opportunity to speak and talk about the journey of this year. I left them with 2 thoughts:

Thought One: You do not have to travel alone.

Thought Two: Your journey matters.

So….bring on Autumn with your apple pies, jeans, pumpkins and s’mores.

Here’s a recent shot of Sophia and Robby last week assessing their next move:

Curly-headed Summer

This guy is destined for crazy hair – what a looker! It’s gotten blonder and funkier this summer…gotta love it.

Monkey Business

Don’t you just love the zoo? I feel like I am reliving my childhood over again as I raise my son. I thought I might have to become more adult once I became a mom. But I actually have to become more childlike…..it’s a beautiful twist.
